Watson has been a member of our foster program since February 2020. As you may have seen, Watson is a special boy who likely had a very hard life before his time in NYC. Watson came from a high kill shelter and while he is extremely affectionate, he pushes boundaries. Watson seeks attention and needs to be in a structured environment to succeed. He is still semi-reliant on the old, innate behaviors he previously needed to survive. When he has too much energy or is not properly exercised/kept on a training regime, he can redirect that energy and become reactive. Watson has successfully completed a socialization and training program at True Companion Dog Training.

Watson’s ideal home would be a strong, active adult-only household that is excited to continue his training and preferably has another dog (female is best) that will help him exercise his energy and teach him to be a part of the pack. He is extremely smart, a master at commands, up for any adventure outdoors, and will carry a squeaky toy around for hours. He is housebroken, crate trained, excellent in the car, and a dream on the leash. Watson is approximately 3 years old, weighs 65 pounds, is up to date on his vaccinations, and is neutered.

“I’m happy I found my forever family!”
