ADOPTABLE #AustralianShepherd Stevie is only 6 months old and has already lived quite the life. Whatever she has been through has left her guarded and scared of basically everything: trucks, other dogs, sneezes, the wind. She’s known for hiding under tables and is easily spooked by loud sounds and children, so she needs a calm home environment and adopters with experience dealing with skittish dogs.

Stevie is in a foster now with another pooch, slowly coming out of her shell. She will be going for an ophthalmology consult; one of her eyes is cloudy and does not work very well, as you can see in the picture. It may need to be removed. She also has skin issues and is missing fur on her back legs. We can only imagine the kind of life she lead previously.

Although she needs lots of love and attention, Stevie is already warming up to other pups and people. She is eager to please, sleeps in her crate, and walks in a near perfect heel. Slowly but surely and with lots of love and care, Stevie’s fears will melt away. We can’t wait to see her as the happy, loving pup she’s meant to be and help her find her forever home.

I’m happy I found my forever family!
