Iris is a 2.5 year old purebred German Shepherd, who was purchased from a breeder with breeding rights because she wasn’t spayed, and to everyone’s “surprise” found herself in a shelter. Iris was adopted from the shelter and retuned because people really want a “pretty face”, without understanding the breed requirements. We keep saying this over and over and wish people would hear us: an English Bulldog is not a good running partner, likewise, a German Shepherd is not a couch potato; thus you must match your lifestyles to the needs of the breeds you are making a commitment to! Iris is as close to a perfect GSD as one can be, smart, listens from the first command, reserved, careful, alert, attentive, protective, PERFECT on a leash, non-reactive, friendly, but most importantly … SAFE. Due to her past, being an unaltered dominant female and having lived with another unaltered dominant female GSD, Iris does not get along with female dogs.

I’m happy I’ve found my forever family!

Hoarding Case Rescue

We can’t begin to put into words the horror of animal hoarding and what it does to it’s victims. We need YOUR HELP to help them with their transformation and provide these dogs with the medical care they’ve neglected to receive their entire lives.

We are happy to step in to change the lives and fate of these dogs, and are pleased to have the opportunity to show them that kindness and compassion exists.
