Gia was rescued off the streets of Russia, where she ended up homeless after her owner passed away. This 40 pound beauty was left starved, neglected and poisoned. Thanks to a dedicated team of rescue workers and one of our supporters in Brooklyn, we got the word, and rushed to help and bring her here for a better life.
Last weekend this girl arrived safely in the big city and has settled in quite nicely in her foster home. Gia loves people and loves getting cuddles and scratches from them. She likes other dogs too, but can be a little timid at first. For a dog that has witnessed such pain and horror – Gia is full of energy and PURE LOVE, she’s always got a big goofy smile on and wags her tail back and forth (swipe to see!). She loves to lay on the floor and be pet and pampered, and loves exploring NYC on her walks. She will be great in any home that will keep her socialized and exercised, including one with children or other dogs. The only thing that can make this pretty girl’s smile even bigger is finding a forever home to spend the holidays in. Apply to adopt Gia below and email firstname.lastname@example.org with any adoption questions.
