Adopt A Pet In Brooklyn, NY

Protecting Animals Throughout New York City

Adopt a Pet Today – Welcome to Rescue City!

Rescue City Pet Adoption Center is a no-kill, volunteer, non-profit charitable 501c3 animal rescue organization serving Brooklyn, NY and the metro area. Whether you are looking to adopt a pet in Brooklyn, or would like to learn more about how you can make a difference, you have come to the right place. We believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of helpless, abused, abandoned, neglected animals, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We also partner with local animal shelters, offering some much needed relief, by rescuing animals that may otherwise been euthanized due to overcrowding. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and receive all necessary veterinary care and treatments. They are then placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We situate our animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a thorough, but hassle free adoption process. We educate our adopters on the importance of responsible pet ownership and while insuring our commitment to the animals we adopt beyond the adoption process.

More About Us

Rescue City began when a few Brooklyn, New York natives, became inspired with a mission to protect and improve the lives of helpless animal in need. Together they have over 30 years of animal experience, and in that time they were witness to some unfortunate realities, hidden from the public’s eyes. The overcrowding in the shelter system is out of control and euthanasia rates were alarmingly high. A plan was devised out to save lives and educate the public. The founders of Rescue City believe they can bring about change to the industry, and help the public by providing the appropriate knowledge needed to make a proper decision on the best way to acquire a pet. By choosing to adopt a pet you are partnering with us to become a part of the solution rather than a part of the problem.
